Income Insurance for life's essentials

How would your clients cope financially if they were unable to work due to an accident, sickness or unemployment?

Underwritten by specialist insurers, Pinnacle Insurance, our Income Insurance product is called IncomeShield and is designed to provide your clients with peace of mind that should the worst happen, they will be able to continue to receive an income that will support their cost of living and lifestyle.

IncomeShield helps your clients to protect their monthly income, in the event of:

  • Involuntary redundancy
  • Having to register as a carer for an immediate family member
  • An accident or sickness (disability) that prevents them from working.

Cover at a glance

  • Up to £2,000 monthly benefit, subject to a maximum of 65% of gross monthly income
  • The option to defer the first 2 months premium payments
  • Full Accident, Sickness & Unemployment, Accident & Sickness only and Unemployment only cover options available

IncomeShield is our standalone Income Insurance product, which is not tied to a mortgage, loan or any other credit agreement.

It simply protects your client's income and pays out a monthly benefit to help cover their essentials and outgoings if they are unable to work due to accident, sickness or unemployment.

What’s not covered

As with all insurance policies there are certain circumstances when your client will not be able to make a claim, known as exclusions. Some examples include

  • Claims relating to pre-existing medical conditions. Before being eligible to claim, your client must be 12 months symptom free of a pre-existing condition, prior to the policy start date. If they do have a pre-existing condition and they are symptom free and have not consulted a doctor or received treatment for the condition for at least 12 months after the start of their policy, the pre-existing medical condition will then be covered.
  • Self inflicted injuries, cosmetic surgery or drug or alcohol abuse
  • Back conditions, or mental or nervous disorders such as stress
